- Blender
- Microwave
- Tin
- Bowl
Ingredients
- 90 g Slivered Almonds
- 4 Eggs
- 4 tbsp Butter
- 30 g Welkfield Baking Powder
Instructions
- Grind the almonds in a blender, until they resemble a fine powder.
- Separate the egg whites and yolks.
- Separate the egg whites and yolks.
- Melt the butter in the microwave.
- Start by beating the egg whites in the blender.
- When they form thick peaks, add the egg yolks to it.
- Beat some more and add the grounded almonds and baking powder.
- Keep beating and add the butter.
Add the butter
- Beat for another ten minutes till nice and fluffy.
- Line a baking tin with melted butter. Pour this batter in the tin.
- Bake at 200 degrees Celcius for 30 minutes. Check if done. I baked it for another 10 minutes at 180 degrees, to give it a nice golden colour.
The bread looks just like your normal bread. Toast it and add your favorite toppings to it. I am going to spread my favorite cheese spread on it and relish it. With just four ingredients you will be able to relive your dream of having toasted bread for breakfast.

Can we use almond flour instead. I also feel that there will be an eggy taste to the bread, can we use just egg whites and xanthum gum, if yes please mention the quantity.
Priya Aurora
I have never cooked with xanthan gum, so i won’t be able to help you on that. But yes you can bake with just egg whites and 1 full egg.

You should avoid be putting the eggs in the blender. Mixing eggs at high speed destroys the protein.

Wow, I’m impressed that you made your own flour out of almonds! The bread looks delicious (though I don’t eat eggs or butter, but I can dream 🙂 ).
