Being an obese woman with 102 Kgs of weight is tough. My name is Riya, a 28-year-old single mother from Jalandhar. During and after my delivery I found myself burdened by the weight of my body and the relentless whispers of criticism from those around me.

By the time my daughter turned five, I weighed 130 Kgs and I had developed high blood pressure, and was pre-diabetic, and that’s when I realized that my well-being was directly connected to my daughter’s. It was my daughter who became my source of motivation to make a change.
