Keto Cauliflower Tikka Masala Recipe

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 640 g head cauliflower, cut into small florets
  • 1 tbsp  olive oil
  • 1 tsp  ground cumin
  • tsp  garam masala
  • ½ tsp  cayenne pepper
  • ½ tsp  salt

To Make Sauce

  • 4 tbsp  unsalted butter or virgin coconut oil
  • ½ 95g white onion, diced
  • cloves garlic, minced
  • 6g tbsp  minced ginger
  • 1 tbsp  garam masala
  • 1 ½ tsp  paprika
  • tsp  ground cumin
  • ½ tsp  cayenne pepper
  • ½ tsp  salt
  • 1 ½ cups crushed tomatoes (360 g)
  • ½ cup water (120 ml)
  • ½ cup coconut cream or heavy whipping cream (120 ml)
  • ¼ cup minced cilantro

Instructions

  • Take a large pan and toss the cauliflower florets in a that with the oil and spices.
  • Once tossed, arrange the cauliflower florets onto a foil-lined baking sheet. Then put them into the oven to bake for 30 minutes until they get tender.
  • While cauliflower is baking, prepare the sauce. Heat the butter in a large deep frying pan over medium-high heat.
  • Now, add in the onion, garlic, and ginger into the pan and cook for about 5 minutes until the onion starts to caramelize.
  • After that add in the spices and cook the mix for about 30 seconds until aromatic.
  • Now, pour in the tomatoes, water, and cream and cook the blend on simmer for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally.
  • Once the cauliflower is done add it to the pan with sauce. Toss to mix them well.
  • Garnish with cilantro and serve.
